Walk-A-Thon
The Walk-A-Thon & Fitness Challenge is our fun and healthy student fundraiser that helps fund school expenses not covered by the CPS budget through Community, Fun, & Wellness.

Bridge the Gap
The gap between the Chicago Public Schools budget and Skinner North’s needs grows each year. Friends of Skinner North (FoSN) helps bridge this gap by purchasing supplies, equipment, software, curriculum, teacher professional development, facilities improvements and other items that our students and teachers need every day.
Spring Fundraiser
Starry Night
Starry Night is a fundraising gala hosted by Friends of Skinner North (FoSN) and the biggest party of the year! This adults-only gala will include food, drinks, dancing, great music, and an auction. Please join us on April 18, 2026 from 6-11pm for Starry Night 2026.
Fall & Spring
Book Fair
Skinner North receives 50% of each dollar back for teachers to purchase books! Book Fairs typically happen in the fall and spring of each year.

Box Tops
Save your Box Tops! Earn money for Skinner North while you shop. Encourage your family friends, and office to save as well. These small stamp-sized items earns FoSN enough to send 3 classes on a field trip.

Dine & Donate
Throughout the year FoSN partners with restaurants for Dine & Donate programs. In the past we’ve partnered with Jeni’s Ice Cream and Candlelight Pizza on profit-sharing promotions. Make sure you’re subscribed to the FoSN newsletter to stay up-to-date!
